HammondCare Home Care is currently looking for Carers to join our team in Melbourne for South - East on a casual basis with potential to be permanent part time.

The successful applicant for South - East team will be caring for clients living in suburb Geln waverley , Noble Park, Dandenong , Doncaster , Templestowe , Burwood, Ringwood, Croydon , Ferntree gully , Hampton Park, clyde etc.

The candidates must be available to work on Thursday and Friday.

About the role

You'll provide essential, practical care for older people, supporting them to live independently in their own homes and genuinely improving their quality of life. This includes not only day-to-day care but also building meaningful relationships and offering companionship. The role requires travel to clients’ homes using your own car (you'll be paid $0.99 per km plus paid travel time).

In return for your expertise, we offer:

• $32.91 to $36.50 per hour plus 99c/km + paid travel time + mobile phone provided
• full training to all care workers (no experience is necessary)

About you

• you’re a people-person who is patient and solutions-focused
• you have previous experience in aged or community care, or are looking to start your career in aged care
• you have a valid Driver’s Licence and access to an insured, reliable car (min. Third Party Property Insurance)
• ideally, you'll have a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. If you're not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can help .
• you'll be flexible around meeting the changing needs of home care clients

HammondCare Home Care is currently looking for Casual Carers to join our team in the Jean Marion Cottage located in Narara.

The Opportunity

HammondCare’s Respite Cottages provide short-term accommodation and individualised support for older guests during stays of up to 10 nights. As a Specialised Carer, you’ll play a vital role in delivering personalised care and creating a welcoming, home-like environment.

About the role

Hourly Rates: $32.91 to $36.50 P/H + penalties

Please note: Rosters available may not suit student visa due to hour restrictions. Unlimited work rights will be highly regarded.

Shifts include :*** Ideally you will be able to work a mix of the below shifts

• 7.15am-14.45 - Morning shift
• 14.45 - 21.45- Afternoon shift
• 21.30- 07.45- Night shift

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene
• Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans
• Support and care for guests during overnight or extended stays
• Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally
• You will occasionally assist Guests to access and participate in community activities and events by providing transport support. (Drivers license is essential)

What do you need to apply?

• No formal qualification is necessary; however, Certificate III Individual Support is an advantage
• Australian Drivers license
• Available to work a mix of the above mentioned shifts
• First Aid certificate desirable
• Empathy and compassion are a must
• We provide job training as long as you have the willingness and desire to learn
• Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone
• A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
