COPILOT is a dynamic and exciting service that provides rapid access to multi-disciplinary geriatric assessment (medical, nursing, and allied health) for older people living in the community setting. The COPILOT VMO will provide a high quality clinical service to older people and their families/carers to optimise health outcomes and support clients keeping well in the community. The VMO will provide comprehensive geriatric assessments and evidence-based care to clients residing in their own homes or nursing homes for acute care with the goal of avoiding unnecessary transfer to hospital.
The COPILOT VMO will need strong clinical leadership and decision making skills, have relevant clinical experience in the Aged Care speciality, and preferentially experience in providing community-based care both in a direct and virtual capacity.
