About the team

Warrawee Community offers a home-like environment for our residents, comprising of six single-story houses surrounded by lush gardens and grounds. The community is made up of 90 beautifully appointed single rooms featuring a bedroom with ensuite. Warrawee provides peace of mind for its residents whatever care level they choose.

About the role

As a Personal Carer, you will provide high quality, person-centred care that supports the health, wellbeing, dignity and independence of residents.

Working collaboratively with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will contribute to a safe, respectful and home-like environment while delivering care that meets individual needs and preferences.

Other responsibilities include:

• Delivering a range of personal care services, including mobility support, continence care, nutrition and hydration assistance, skin care, dementia support, pain management and end-of-life care.
• Assisting with the development, implementation and review of individualised care plans to ensure residents' changing needs and preferences are met.
• Administering medications in accordance with legislative requirements, professional standards and organisational policies and procedures.
• Monitoring resident wellbeing and promptly reporting and documenting any changes in condition to support timely clinical intervention.
• Building positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues, and supporting food service and kitchen duties.

About you

You are a compassionate and reliable care professional who is committed to delivering person-centred care and enhancing the wellbeing of older people.

You thrive in a team environment, demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality in your work, and are passionate about providing high-quality support that aligns with organisational values.

The following is also required:

• Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent qualification) and a sound understanding of contemporary aged care practices and standards.
• Knowledge of common health conditions experienced by older people, with a patient, caring and respectful approach to resident care.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and uphold resident confidentiality.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of personal presentation and hygiene.
